Change to Training Registration to start on January 1, 2010!

CHANGES TO TRAINING REGISTRATIONS: EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2010!!!
Our professional development training registration process has changed. The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services along with the Ohio Child Care Resource and Referral Association have implemented a new process that we are required to use. This process, starting January 1, 2010, will be completely done online.

To register for any training, you must first register as a professional on the Ohio Professional Development Network(ODPN). Upon registering, you will be given a pin number that will identify you for future use of the website. It is important that you keep track of this pin number for any training registrations. I am including a link to a brochure for the ODPN with detailed instructions on using the site (www.ohpdnetwork.org).

Child Care Resource Center will no longer be able to accept paper registrations. All training registrations must be made online.

You will log in (using your pin number) and search for trainings. You can search by county (all 88 counties will be available), date range, or topic. I have included, with this mailing, a 6 month calendar of trainings to help direct your search.

Online Registration will go live on January 1,
2010. You can view the information and trainings now, but no registrations can be made. Please
take a few minutes and visit the website. Training options are located under the training tablocated at the top of the screen. You can also find CCRC training on our website but to register you MUST go through the www.ohpdnetwork.org site.

Please realize that Child Care Resource Center is here to assist in any way possible. If you have any questions or concerns please let us know! Our entire staff is prepared to answer any questions you may have. We, as an agency, understand that this is a new concept, with a short amount of time to implement. If computer access is a concern, please contact the CCRC for ideas or to schedule a time to use our equipment at the office. The CCRC will have a computer in our lobby for online registration during our normal operating hours.

If your center or Type A home is involved with the Step Up to Quality Rating System, you are in the registry. Please check with your center Director as they may have your login information.

Thank you, in advance, for your cooperation in this matter. We look forward to hearing from you!
