Become a Trainer

The CCRC Trainer Registry is comprised of experienced individuals who are leaders in our field or is an expert from another field related to early care & learning issues (i.e. health & safety; business, etc). These individuals also have strengths in working with and/or teaching adults. If approved, CCRC trainers may become eligible to lead sessions in variety of topics. To become a member of the CCRC Trainer Registry, you must complete and submit a Trainer Registry application and other supporting documentation (resume, copy of credentials/certifications and education).

CCRC Trainer Qualification Requirements

Health & Safety Trainers:

  • A licensed physician, registered nurse, emergency service instructor, or authorized trainer of health organization
  • Two years experience in training subject

Child Abuse Trainers:

  • Authorized trainer for public children’s services agency or local child abuse agency; or
  • At least an Associate degree in social work, child development, or related field from an accredited college AND two years assessing child abuse and neglect or counseling or a combination of experience and training; or
  • A licensed physician or register nurse AND two years experience assessing child abuse and neglect or counseling or a combination of experience and training; or

Early Childhood Trainers:

  • B.A. or B.S. degree in early childhood education, child development, or related field 
  • Four years experience serving children birth through five years or six through 12 years for school age with two years responsibility for the professional growth of another adult (trainer, administrator, mentor)

Master Trainers:

  • M.A., M.S., M.Ed. degree an advanced degree in early childhood education, child development, or related field
  • Six years experience serving children birth through five years or six through 12 years for school age with three years experience in responsibility for the professional growth of another adult

Business/Specialized Trainers (Exempt from early childhood background):

  • A minimum of a B.S. from an accredited institution related to the topic of training is required
  • Must have experience as a training facilitator and strong credentials related to training subject
