About Child Care Resource Center

The Child Care Resource Center is the child care resource and referral agency for Lorain, Erie, Huron, Sandusky and Seneca counties. The Child Care Resource Center is a private non-profit agency that is part of the statewide system of child care resource and referral funded by the Ohio Department of Jobs & Family Services.

Since 1988, the Child Care Resource Center has assisted 14,000 families find child care for over 22,000 children. The CCRC has trained thousands of early childhood professionals and has brought over one million dollars for meal reimbursement to family day care from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).

The Child Care Resource Center:

• helps families find child care
• recruit, trains, and supports caregivers
• provides startup information for child care programs
• collects data for community planning
• advocates and supports laws and programs that make quality child care affordable and accessible
