How Does It Work

Our innovative program connects qualified educators with a network of partner childcare centers throughout Ohio.

  • Our online app allows you to see job openings quickly and respond immediately
  • When a childcare center needs a substitute, the director sends out a message through the app
  • You are immediately notified via email or text message
  • You can apply for the position with one click from your phone or computer
  • The director then reviews your profile and hires you for the job
  • Substitutes work independently for different programs within a minimum 25-mile radius
  • You're only required to work 2 jobs per week (of your choosing)

I LOVE KIDS, BUT DON'T HAVE ANY "REAL" WORK EXPERIENCE.  CAN I STILL APPLY?

That's okay!  You don't need experience to qualify.  We provide excellent training to our substitutes.  All training is approved by the state of Ohio and follows their standards.

If you're just starting your early childhood career, our training program makes it easy to start on your path on a rewarding career.

HOW MUCH CAN I EARN?

Pay rates depend on you Career Pathway Level (CPL).  Those who are CPL 1 or 2, get paid $12 an hour.  Those who are CPL 3 through 6 get paid up to $15 an hour.

The CPL point-based system provides a common understanding of professional development and experience standards for all Ohio early care and educators.  A professional's CPL level is determined by a formulaic calculation that takes formal training, work experience, and other credentials into consideration.  The more experience and training you accumulate, the more you can earn!
