How it works for the Firelands Region:
- Employers choose between contributing to employee monthly tuition for child care costs or to purchase child care spaces for future employee child care needs.
- The Grant pays 75% of the amount contributed by the employer. ($100 - $200 per child per month)
- The Child Care Resource Center sets up the business systems to connect the child care program and local business. This includes: payment structures, data sharing and transparency.
- After July 1, 2027 employers agree to cover the full cost to continue the benefit for their employees.
